About Wayanad Heritage Museum

The Wayanad Heritage Museum at Ambalavayal, also called the Ambalavayal Heritage Museum, holds a large private collection of artefacts from the Wayanad region. Displays include tribal tools, weapons, terracotta, stone sculptures and objects from different periods of the district's past.

It makes a quick, interesting stop near Edakkal Caves and helps put the caves' ancient carvings in context.
