Nine hairpin bends up to the Wayanad plateau

The Thamarassery Ghat Pass, locally called Thamarassery Churam, is the main road that climbs from the Kozhikode lowlands to the Wayanad plateau. The road rises through nine hairpin bends cut into forested hillsides, with small viewpoints along the way where the road below can be seen winding through the trees.
The drive is part of the journey, and in the early morning the slopes are often wrapped in mist.
See it as part of a planned itinerary with transport, stay and a trip coordinator.
